Bye bye foreclosures and short sales it’s been an exhausting ride the past few years. With many mixed emotions it’s time to let them go away and hopefully stay away for a very long time. The buyers market is gone and with that comes the end to years of pain and heartache for many.
Shorts sales are far less plentiful than even a year ago and foreclosures are down to a trickle compared to 2 years ago. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of them still out there but with an increase in values the short sale faucet is quickly being turned off by the lenders. Foreclosures along with short sales are few and far between now and those that come on the market are being ravaged by investors like starving animals looking to fill their empty bellies with anything resembling a carcass of things gone wrong.
For me it’s hard to see them go; as short sales were a boost to my career and life. I was a pioneer in the short sale arena and have helped hundreds get the relief they needed. But that constant flowing river has slowed to a trickle and I have begun the adjustment to other areas of Minnesota real estate.
As Sweet Brown would say, “Ain’t nobody got time for dat!” Bye Bye foreclosures and short sales, it’s been real.
